Introducing the AIM Blog

We are starting to publish what we learn from running inventory and listings across StockX, GOAT, eBay, Shopify, and TikTok Shop — marketplace changes, feature deep dives, operator stories, and the state of the resale market.

AIM sits in an unusual position. It runs inventory, listings, pricing, and fulfillment for sneaker and streetwear retailers across StockX, GOAT, eBay, Shopify, and TikTok Shop — which means we see the same problems arrive at dozens of businesses at once, usually before the businesses themselves notice.

A marketplace quietly changes how it computes a fee. A platform tightens its account-health rules. A category that moved reliably for eight months stops moving. Individually, each of those is a support ticket. In aggregate, they are information — and until now that information has only ever reached whoever happened to ask.

This blog is where it goes instead.

What we will publish

Marketplace changes. Fee structures, policy updates, account-health rules, and API behavior on StockX, GOAT, eBay, Shopify, and TikTok Shop. What actually changed, when it took effect, and what it means for the way you list. These are the posts most likely to matter the same week they go up.

Feature deep dives. Not release notes — the why and when behind a feature. Which problem it exists to solve, when it is the right tool, and when it is not. Step-by-step instructions stay in the AIM Help site, which is the right place for them; a blog post that duplicates documentation just means you now have two copies to keep current, and one of them will be wrong.

Operator stories. How real AIM businesses have structured their receiving, their putaway, their pricing rules, their multi-location setups. Published with permission, and specific enough to actually copy.

State of the market. The one that is genuinely hard to get anywhere else.

On that last one

Most resale market commentary is built on scraped listing prices. Listing prices tell you what sellers hoped to get.

AIM holds something different: real sell-through across multiple marketplaces at once, with the cost basis attached. Not what a pair was listed at — what it actually sold for, how long it sat first, and which channel moved it. That is a different question, and it is the one that decides whether a buy was any good.

We will publish that in aggregate on a regular cadence. To be explicit about the boundary, because it matters more than anything else on this page: aggregate means aggregate. No individual business's volume, margins, cost basis, or inventory will ever appear in a market report. Client-specific numbers appear only in an operator story, only about a business that asked to be written about, and only with the figures they approved.

What we want back

If there is a marketplace change you are wrestling with, a workflow you cannot get clean, or a number you wish someone would publish — tell us, and it goes on the list. support@aimventory.com.

An email list is coming shortly, so new posts reach you without having to remember to check back. When it lands: no more than one email per post, and an unsubscribe link that works on the first click.
